“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
2 Kings 5: 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.”
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We must safeguard ourselves so that the curse that comes due to sin does not come upon us, the bride, the church
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated regarding two types of leprosy. One, a boil comes in the body and from that the leprosy arises. Secondly, because the body receives a burn on its skin by fire, we meditated regarding the leprosy that arises in the raw flesh of the burn.
Next, when we read Leviticus 13: 29 – 59, if a man or woman has a sore on the head or the beard, then the priest shall examine the sore; and indeed, if it appears deeper than the skin, and there is in it thin yellow hair, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a scaly leprosy of the head or beard. Also, when we see the scaly leprosy and indeed it does not appear deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then the priest shall isolate him for seven days.
If that scale has not spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the scale does not appear deeper than the skin, he shall shave himself, except the scale he shall not shave. And then if the priest shall isolate him for the second time then if the scale has not spread over the skin, and does not appear deeper than the skin, then God is telling that the priest shall pronounce him clean. But if the scale should at all spread over the skin and if there is yellow hair, he is unclean.
But if the scale appears to be at a standstill, and there is black hair grown up in it, the scale has healed. He is clean, and he shall be pronounced clean says the Lord. This is the fifth type of leprosy. If a man or a woman has bright spots on the skin of the body, if the white bright spots become dull white, it is a white spot that grows on the skin. Such kind of people are clean.
If any man’s hair has fallen from his head, or if he is bald, they are clean. If there is on the bald head or bald forehead a reddish-white sore, it is leprosy breaking out it. Also, if the swelling of the sore is reddish white on his bald head or on his bald forehead, as the appearance of leprosy on the skin of the body, God is pronouncing him as a leprous man. His sore is on his head. That leper with the disease, his clothes shall be torn and his head bare; and he shall cover his moustache, and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ Since the leper with his disease is unclean, his dwelling should be alone.
“Also, if a garment has a leprous plague in it, whether it is a woolen garment or a linen garment, whether it is in the warp or woof of linen or wool, whether in leather or in anything made of leather, it is leprosy. But the priest should see it and after isolating him for seven days if the plague has spread in the garment that it was present in, then it is an active leprosy. This is the sixth type of leprosy.
The things with this plague should be burnt. And if indeed the plague has not spread in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof, or in anything he should be isolated second time for seven days. After it has been washed; and indeed, if the plague has not changed its colour, though the plague has not spread, it will be pronounced as unclean. It should be burnt in the fire; it continues eating away, whether the damage is outside or inside.
After it has been washed, if the priest sees that the plague has faded, then he shall tear it out of the garment, whether out of the warp or out of the woof, or out of the leather. Also, if it is seen in the above-mentioned things it is a spreading plague. We should burn with fire that in which is the plague. But after you have washed these things if the plague has disappeared from it, then it shall be washed a second time, and it shall be clean. This is the law of the leprous plague to pronounce it clean or to pronounce it unclean.
Therefore, my dear people let us read this and meditate upon this and we must safeguard God’s laws so that our inner man should not perish due to sin and due to curse and so that scaly leprosy does not come in our skin, we must wash and cleanse ourselves daily by the word of Christ and let us receive holiness in our inner man. Let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
