“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 80: 17, 18 Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.

Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

The Bride, the church should safeguard themselves so that God’s holy name will not be defiled

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that if the bride, the church goes far away from God and becomes involved in things of the world or any foreign things and offers sacrifice, they go in the path of the harlot and they are offering sacrifices to the demons. We also meditated that we must not eat the blood of any animal or the blood of any bird along with its flesh.

Today the Bible verse that we are going to meditate upon is Leviticus 18: 1 – 6 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

“Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God.

According to the doings of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, you shall not do; and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor shall you walk in their ordinances.

You shall observe My judgments and keep My ordinances, to walk in them: I am the Lord your God.

You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.

‘None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am the Lord.

The facts regarding this are that we see God is redeeming and bringing the Israelites from the bondage of the Egyptians and is telling them to enter into Canaan. But God is telling Moses that the children of Israel should not do according to the doings of the land of Egypt and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; and you should keep my statues and my judgements and walk according to that says the Lord. Anyone who is doing in this manner shall live by them says the Lord.

Today the law what he is giving us is that Leviticus 18: 6 – 20 ‘None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am the Lord.

The nakedness of your father or the nakedness of your mother you shall not uncover. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.

The nakedness of your father’s wife you shall not uncover; it is your father’s nakedness.

The nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home or elsewhere, their nakedness you shall not uncover.

The nakedness of your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, their nakedness you shall not uncover; for theirs is your own nakedness.

The nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, begotten by your father—she is your sister—you shall not uncover her nakedness.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister; she is near of kin to your father.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is near of kin to your mother.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother. You shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law—she is your son’s wife—you shall not uncover her nakedness.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; it is your brother’s nakedness.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, nor shall you take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness. They are near of kin to her. It is wickedness.

Nor shall you take a woman as a rival to her sister, to uncover her nakedness while the other is alive.

‘Also, you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness as long as she is in her customary impurity.

Moreover, you shall not lie carnally with your neighbour’s wife, to defile yourself with her.

In the above-mentioned verses, in any way we should not make others naked.  God has commanded us that we must not walk with the wrong walk. Also, we should not marry our close relatives who are near of kin to us and God says that it is wickedness. In Leviticus 18: 20 God says that you should lie carnally with your neighbour’s wife and defile yourself. Also, the word of God says in Proverbs 6: 23 – 35 For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

To keep you from the evil woman, from the flattering tongue of a seductress.

Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, nor let her allure you with her eyelids.

For by means of a harlot a man is reduced to a crust of bread; And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life.

Can a man take fire to his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

Can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be seared?

So is he who goes in to his neighbour’s wife; whoever touches her shall not be innocent.

People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving.

Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold; He may have to give up all the substance of his house.

Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.

Wounds and dishonour he will get, and his reproach will not be wiped away.

For jealousy is a husband’s fury; therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

He will accept no recompense, nor will he be appeased though you give many gifts.

When we meditate upon about this, so that we are not condemned to judgement the above-mentioned verses are written for us.  He who goes into his neighbour’s wife; whoever touches her does not escape condemnation. Also, we must think regarding the spiritual meaning of this. That is, this word is also showing us regarding foreign worship. Also, among the ten commandments this is one of the commandments.

Exodus 20: 17 “You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbour’s.”

Therefore, my dear people who are reading this, we must safeguard ourselves carefully. We must safeguard ourselves so that we do not get defiled. Also, in Leviticus 18: 21 – 24 And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.

‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.

The children of Israel should not let their descendants pass through the fire to Molech. If we allow their descendants to pass through the fire to Molech we will profane the name of our God, the holy name says the Lord.

2 Kings 16: 1 – 5 In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah, Ahaz the son of Jotham, king of Judah, began to reign.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord his God, as his father David had done.

But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel; indeed, he made his son pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had cast out from before the children of Israel.

And he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.

Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to make war; and they besieged Ahaz but could not overcome him.

In this manner, many of the kings of Israel made their sons and daughters to pass through fire and this is written in the word of God. Passing through fire means serving Baal. Also, 2 Kings 17: 16 – 21 So they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, made for themselves a molded image and two calves, made a wooden image and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

Therefore, the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight; there was none left but the tribe of Judah alone.

Also, Judah did not keep the commandments of the Lord their God but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.

And the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel, afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of plunderers, until He had cast them from His sight. For He tore Israel from the house of David, and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. Then Jeroboam drove Israel from following the Lord and made them commit a great sin.

When we meditate upon this, many among the children of Israel make their sons and daughters to pass through the fire. The reason is that they made Jeroboam the king. But he drove Israel from following the Lord and made them commit a great sin. We must meditate upon this and whatever circumstances may come to us we must not backslide away from God and we must make ourselves firm and we must submit ourselves to worship the name of God.

My dear people who are reading this, each one of us should confess our sins and humble our souls and submit ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
