“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
1 Peter 5: 7 Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
The Bride, the church should not give place in the soul to fleshly thoughts, which are the Gentiles
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated few things regarding how we should safeguard ourselves so that the holy name of God does not get defiled.
But today the thing that we are going to meditate upon is Leviticus 18: 22 – 30 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.
Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.
‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.
For the land is defiled; therefore, I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants.
You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you
(for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled),
lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
‘Therefore, you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the Lord your God.’”
A woman should not lie with a woman and a man should not lie with a man and if they do in this manner it is an abomination says the word of God. Not only that you should not mate with any animal and that is an abomination and woman should not stand in front of abominations and if we live in this manner it is a life of perversion and God is giving us a law regarding this. Why God is showing this as a pattern is that those who are blessed by God as the bride, the church for any reason should not marry the people who have not accepted the Saviour Jesus who have the character of an animal and the word of God is beautifully making it clear to us.
Do not defile yourselves with such things says the Lord. This is because the Gentiles which were cast out from before the children of Israel defiled themselves with all these things. Because they did this in this manner, the land became defiled. If such kind of deeds of the Gentiles are in our soul, we will also be under the bondage of such kind of life. Therefore, using the Israelites in the Old Testament he is showing all things as a pattern.
But when we come to the New Testament our Lord Jesus Christ is being beaten on the cross and his flesh is being torn. This is because in each one of our lives fleshly thoughts should be removed and for this God did not even consider his own Son but submitted him for us on the cross. Jesus who was submitted in this manner because he had suffered unto death and we see that he was crowned with glory and honour. The word that death was swallowed up in victory was fulfilled. The reason is that the mind of the flesh is death. Therefore, we who are believing in the resurrected Christ are also resurrected by his Spirit.
We, who have been resurrected if we will live united with him, then fleshly thoughts, which is death will not reign over us anymore. But if we will leave him, he will also leave us. Therefore, we must hold on to him tightly. In that case, he will remove the thoughts of the flesh which are arising in our soul. Our soul will be the soul where the Holy one lives.
That is why, in Leviticus 18: 27 – 30 according to the verses, so that God does not forsake us and such that we do not get defiled and be destroyed, if we will follow all of God’s laws and walk accordingly, he is our Lord the God. He will bless us in all things. Let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
