“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Zechariah 2: 12 And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land and will again choose Jerusalem.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
In our soul, which is the bride, the church there should not be defects
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should honour the church of God and the person who does not honour him is scorning him and the inner eyes of such kind of people gets destroyed and they are cursed by God.
Next, what we are meditating is that Leviticus 21: 6 – 8 They shall be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God; therefore, they shall be holy.
They shall not take a wife who is a harlot or a defiled woman, nor shall they take a woman divorced from her husband; for the priest is holy to his God.
Therefore, you shall consecrate him, for he offers the bread of your God. He shall be holy to you, for I the Lord, who sanctify you, am holy.
When we meditate upon these verses, we must not in any way, in our soul, in any way become defiled and should not profane the holy name but we must be holy always for God. Those who are offering the offerings to the Lord made by fire and those offering the bread of their God should be holy. Those offering the bread are those who are speaking the word of God. They are holy to their God. They are the servants of God. They should not marry a harlot or a defiled woman. God is telling that just as I am holy those who are offering the bread should always be holy.
Also, if the daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the harlot, she profanes her father. In that case, she shall be burned with fire. This is shown as a pattern to show that in a person’s soul if there is the spirit of harlotry, if it is cleansed by the word of God, which is fire, she will be cleansed.
Leviticus 21: 10 – 12 He who is the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and who is consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;
nor shall he go near any dead body, nor defile himself for his father or his mother;
nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the Lord.
Those who are doing the work of priesthood on whose head the anointing oil was poured in any circumstance should not uncover his head, nor tear his clothes nor go near any dead body nor defile himself for his father or his mother nor shall he go out of the holy sanctuary where he is nor profane the holy sanctuary of God. He should marry a woman who is a virgin.
Also, what God is telling Moses is that speak to Aaron, saying: ‘No man of your descendants in succeeding generations, who has any defect, may approach to offer the bread of his God. Leviticus 21: 18 – 21 For any man who has a defect shall not approach: a man blind or lame, who has a marred face or any limb too long,
a man who has a broken foot or broken hand,
or is a hunchback or a dwarf, or a man who has a defect in his eye, or eczema or scab, or is a eunuch.
No man of the descendants of Aaron the priest, who has a defect, shall come near to offer the offerings made by fire to the Lord. He has a defect; he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.
According to those mentioned in the above verses no one should do the work of priesthood. Also, they should not offer bread says the Lord. What God is showing as a pattern is that in our soul our holiness must not be less. Those who are less in holiness are those with defects says the word of God. But if the defect is there in order not to defile the holy places he should not go near the veil or approach the altar. For I am the God that sanctifies them says the Lord. In this manner, let us safeguard the path that God is giving us.
No man of the descendants of Aaron the priest, who has a defect, shall come near to offer the offerings made by fire to the Lord. That is, in Malachi 1: 7 – 14 “You offer defiled food on My altar, but say, ‘In what way have we defiled You?’ By saying, ‘The table of the Lord is contemptible.’
And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favourably?” says the Lord of hosts.
“But now entreat God’s favour, that He may be gracious to us. While this is being done by your hands, will He accept you favourably?” says the Lord of hosts.
“Who is there even among you who would shut the doors, so that you would not kindle fire on My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you,” says the Lord of hosts, “Nor will I accept an offering from your hands.
For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, my name shall be great among the Gentiles; In every place incense shall be offered to My name, and a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations,” says the Lord of hosts.
“But you profane it, in that you say, ‘The table of the Lord is defiled;
And its fruit, its food, is contemptible.’
You also say, ‘Oh, what a weariness!’ and you sneer at it,” says the Lord of hosts. “And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick; Thus, you bring an offering! Should I accept this from your hand?” says the Lord.
“But cursed be the deceiver who has in his flock a male, and takes a vow, but sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished— For I am a great King,” says the Lord of hosts, “And My name is to be feared among the nations.
According to the above-mentioned verses, cursed be the deceiver who takes a vow, but sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished says the Lord. Also, those with defects may eat from God’s most holy and the holy.
In this manner, telling to eat the things that are holy means that we must eat the holy bread and must change the things that are against holiness and when we receive holiness, it will be possible for defects to be changed.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
