“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 128: 1 Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We, the bride, the church should not rule over anyone with rigor
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should care for our church, the brethren who are poor in grace so that they may live and those who are redeemed should not take usury or interest from them. This is because God is telling that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the bondage of Egypt, and called you to Canaan.
My dear people, regarding our journey of faith God is telling that we must not cause any oppression for any of our brothers, which is everyone and if we take usury or interest, we are breaking the law of the Lord and each one of us must realize this. The reason God is showing these as a pattern is that our church, the brethren when they lose their grace and live as poor we meditated that we must help them in every way.
Next the verses what we are meditating upon today is Proverbs 28: 8 – 10 One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion gathers it for him who will pity the poor.
One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he himself will fall into his own pit; but the blameless will inherit good.
According to the above-mentioned verses, it is written that if we cause the upright to go astray, we ourselves will fall in that pit. Also, what God’s word is telling is that Psalms 15: 1 – 5 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart;
He who does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbour, nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;
In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he honours those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
He who does not put out his money at usury, nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
When we meditate upon this, he who does not put out his money at usury and he who does not take bribe will never be moved. Regarding that only in Psalms 16: 8 I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
Also, in Leviticus 25: 39 – 43 ‘And if one of your brethren who dwells by you becomes poor, and sells himself to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a slave.
As a hired servant and a sojourner he shall be with you, and shall serve you until the Year of Jubilee.
And then he shall depart from you—he and his children with him—and shall return to his own family. He shall return to the possession of his fathers.
For they are My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves.
You shall not rule over him with rigor, but you shall fear your God.
If any of our brethren sells himself to us, we should not compel him to serve as a slave. He is telling that let him be with us as a hired servant and a sojourner and let him serve us until the year of Jubilee. The significance of this is that the church, the brethren if he loses the grace that he had received and becomes poor, he must wait within himself for the Day of Pentecost to come and should serve. Then later in the year of Jubilee, the brethren should renew his spiritual life and receive what he has lost and then along with his children and families he should return to the possession of his fathers. He must receive again everything that he has lost in his soul.
Also, anyone who has been redeemed from the bondage of sin should not be sold as slaves. This is because God is telling that they are all my servants. They must receive again everything that they have lost in their soul.
Therefore, God is telling that the servants of God should not rule over anyone with rigor and should fear God. Therefore, my dear people if we fear the Lord, he will look upon us. Let all of us submit ourselves in this manner.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
