“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 8: 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We, the bride, the church are firstborns for God.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we, the bride, the church should change as the camp of Christ and the word of God in the book of the prophet Zechariah tells us that the people who do not come to keep the Feast of Tabernacles will be struck with plague. What that signifies is that God is showing that Feast of Tabernacles as a pattern. That is, our inner man should attain the image of God and by the anointing of God should receive the power of Christ and the gathering of church and worshipping God is the Feast of Tabernacles and we meditated regarding this.
Also, today the word of God that we are going to meditate upon is Numbers 3: 1 – 4 Now these are the records of Aaron and Moses when the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.
And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whom he consecrated to minister as priests.
Nadab and Abihu had died before the Lord when they offered profane fire before the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father.
In these verses, when the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai, the genealogy of Moses, Aaron is that the firstborn of Aaron - Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, Ithamar were consecrated to minister as priests and they were anointed priests. Among them, Nadab and Abihu had died when they brought profane fire in the presence of the Lord. The explanation regarding this we meditated few days back. Both did not have children. Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father. Therefore, the Lord spoke to Moses saying Numbers 3: 6 – 10 “Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may serve him.
And they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of meeting, to do the work of the tabernacle.
Also, they shall attend to all the furnishings of the tabernacle of meeting, and to the needs of the children of Israel, to do the work of the tabernacle.
And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are given entirely to him from among the children of Israel.
So, you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”
In these verses God is telling that bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them to serve Aaron and his sons and they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole congregation and, they must do all the work of the tabernacle. From this what we come to know is that God is calling only those who follow the laws of God properly, mainly those who completely abhor ornaments in their lives and put them away, abhor the desire for things and those who have submitted themselves completely that only God is their inheritance for the work of priesthood.
Only they should attend to all God’s needs and only upon them the Holy Spirit is descending and only they should do the work of the tabernacle that is as those who lead the worship and also they shall attend to all the furnishings of the tabernacle of meeting, and so that the soul of the children of Israel is not deceived by the enemy and to lead them according to the truth and their hearts should be safeguarded with all diligence and he is telling that he must do all the work of the tabernacle.
Therefore, he is telling to submit all the Levites to Aaron and his sons. Also, what God is telling is that no outsider should do the ministry of priesthood. If they do so, they should be put to death. That is, we come to know that everyone who do not obey the laws of God are outsiders before God. Also, what God is telling is that Numbers 3: 12, 13 “Now behold, I Myself have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the children of Israel. Therefore, the Levites shall be Mine,
because all the firstborn are Mine. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They shall be Mine: I am the Lord.”
God is telling that behold, I Myself have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the children of Israel. Therefore, they are mine. All firstborns are God’s and that on the day that God struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt because he sanctified for himself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast therefore everything became God’s. After doing this, he is saying that I am the Lord.
My dear people, what is written as both man and beast is for a pattern and we must understand that. That is, the soul of a man will show many appearances. In this manner, every man’s souls will show many types of appearances. That is why, God is saying as what is mentioned above. Therefore, when they were redeemed and taken from Egypt just like how all the firstborns were made holy, in the same manner when we were redeemed by the blood of Christ, he is being manifested in our soul as the firstborn. In this manner our soul should be made holy, our soul is being renewed by the life, which is the word of Christ. Then we become as those belonging to God. We will know with complete surety that He is Lord.
Therefore, the word of God in Ephesians 1: 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
In this manner let us all submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
