“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Luke 12: 23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We, the bride, the church should desire to eat the bread of God and the pattern regarding this.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we must not rebel against or despise the word of God. If we despise the word of God in this manner, God will judge with anger and in this manner God judged the people of Israel and we are able to read regarding this in Numbers 11: 20 – 35 but for a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you, because you have despised the Lord who is among you, and have wept before Him, saying, “Why did we ever come up out of Egypt?”’
And Moses said, “The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.’
Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?”
And the Lord said to Moses, “Has the Lord’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.”
So, Moses went out and told the people the words of the Lord, and he gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle.
Then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again.
But two men had remained in the camp: the name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle; yet they prophesied in the camp.
And a young man ran and told Moses, and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”
So, Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, one of his choice men, answered and said, “Moses my lord, forbid them!”
Then Moses said to him, “Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”
And Moses returned to the camp, he and the elders of Israel.
Now a wind went out from the Lord, and it brought quail from the sea and left them fluttering near the camp, about a day’s journey on this side and about a day’s journey on the other side, all around the camp, and about two cubits above the surface of the ground.
And the people stayed up all that day, all night, and all the next day, and gathered the quail (he who gathered least gathered ten homers); and they spread them out for themselves all around the camp.
But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was aroused against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very great plague.
So, he called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had yielded to craving.
From Kibroth Hattaavah the people moved to Hazeroth and camped at Hazeroth.
That is, God fed the people of Israel with manna and when he was leading them towards Canaan, because their souls became lustful on the way and because they complained and cried against God that they did not get meat to eat and because the anger of the Lord was aroused on them, God tells Moses consecrate the people tomorrow and he told to tell them that you shall eat, not one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days, but for a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you, because you have despised the Lord who is among you, and have wept before Him, saying, “Why did we ever come up out of Egypt?”’
But Moses told God that for six hundred thousand men how will I give them meat and when he asked that even if flocks and herds are slaughtered or if all the fish of the sea be gathered together will it be enough for them the Lord told Moses has the Lord’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not. Then Moses gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle and then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders. This thing, Moses as a single person could not bear the burden of the sons of Israel and due to the suffering, that they gave him God did in this manner.
Therefore, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, and rested. But two men had remained in the camp: they were Eldad, and Medad. And because the Spirit rested upon them also they also prophesied. Then one young man, who was his assistant, Joshua the son of Nun came running to Moses, and informed regarding, Eldad and Medad who were prophesying in the camp and said “Moses my lord, forbid them!” Then Moses said to him, “Are you zealous for my sake? And he said that Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”
My dear people, from this the important thing that we must know is that we must not be jealous of each other. Also, when we see when God used Moses to lead six hundred thousand people and come, he is keeping the Spirit in him upon the seventy elders also. But when Joshua heard this, for Moses to ask isn’t it good for all the Lord’s people to prophesy, he was not only compassionate, but he did not have jealousy.
But if we will think regarding ourselves, if what we have received how much ever pressurizing, suffering may come we will not like other people getting it. The reason is that we do not have salvation. Also, when we read the Old Testament everyone was not given the Spirit of the Lord. The reason for Moses to say in this manner is that it will be given to all the people of God and this is a pattern.
And Moses returned to the camp, he and the elders of Israel. Now a wind went out from the Lord, and it brought quail from the sea and left them fluttering near the camp, about a day’s journey on this side and on the other side, all around the camp, and about two cubits above the surface of the ground. And the people stayed up all that day, all night, and all the next day, and gathered the quail (he who gathered least gathered ten homers); and they spread them out for themselves all around the camp. But those who ate the quail, while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was aroused against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very great plague. So he called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had yielded to craving.
My dear people, how many of us in this manner are worrying and becoming confused and we defile the word of God and for food with meat we wasted our time. In this manner, he strikes the soul with plague and he kills it, and we must think regarding this and for us to be as those who have tasted the bread of God we must confess our mistakes to God and let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
