“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Colossians 3: 12, 13 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We should safeguard our soul, which is the bride, the church so that it does not rise up against the church, our brothers.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we, the bride, the church should be interested in eating the bread of God. We meditated regarding the judgement that God gave to those who were not in this manner, the Israelites who despised the word of God.
But today what the words of the Lord that we are meditating upon is Numbers 11: 34, 35 So he called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had yielded to craving.
From Kibroth Hattaavah the people moved to Hazeroth and camped at Hazeroth.
The above-mentioned verses are that the people who had yielded to craving, God destroyed them. The place where the people who were destroyed in this manner were buried is Kibroth Hattaavah. Then the people left Kibroth Hattaavah and travelled to Hazeroth and camped there. Also, Numbers 12: 1 – 16 Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
So they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it.
(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!” So, the three came out.
Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward.
Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.
Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house.
I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in dark sayings; and he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?”
So, the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed.
And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper.
So, Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.
Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb!”
So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray!”
Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.”
So, Miriam was shut out of the camp seven days, and the people did not journey till Miriam was brought in again.
And afterward the people moved from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.
The explanation of these verses is that Moses who led the people of Israel because he had married an Ethiopian woman, Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; and the Lord heard it. What they spoke is that “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” Because Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth, suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, and when he said, “Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!” So, the three came out. Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and when he called Aaron and Miriam they both went forward.
Then He said, if there is a prophet among you, I, will speak to him in a vision or a dream. Not so with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in dark sayings; In this manner he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against such a person like Moses?”
So, the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and he departed. And the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. When Aaron saw that she was, a leper he said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.
My dear people, what we come to know from this is that regarding those who have been chosen by God and those who are doing God’s word truthfully and honestly no one among us has the right to find fault in any manner about them and if we find fault on them and talk, we will be punished greatly and there is no doubt in that and each one of us must know that. Also, we must meditate what the word of God is saying in Psalms 50: 20 – 22 You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.
These things you have done, and I kept silent; you thought that I was altogether like you; but I will rebuke you and set them in order before your eyes.
“Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver:
Mainly, if we speak against our brothers, the church regarding anything blaming them it is written that we are slandering our own mother’s son. He will rebuke it and set them in order before our eyes. Now consider this, you who forget God and he is telling us to repent. Otherwise, I will tear you in pieces and he is saying that there will be none to deliver you. It is written that he who touches you touches the apple of His eye regarding them in Zechariah 2: 8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
According to the above-mentioned verses he is punishing us. In this manner, regarding Moses because they spoke against him Miriam became leprous. Aaron told Moses that please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb! So, Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray!” Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed? And he said let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.” So, Miriam was shut out of the camp seven days, and the people did not journey till Miriam was brought in again.
My dear people, when we read the previous portions what we come to know is that in our journey of faith we must be very careful. If we find fault regarding anyone in our inner man leprosy will occur and regarding this God is showing as a pattern using Miriam. Not only that, but it is also written that Aaron and Miriam spoke against Moses. But Miriam got leprosy but for Aaron it became a great amount of sadness. Not only that, but the church was also not able to journey.
Also, if we find fault about others, God will spit on our face and he is stopping our journey of faith. Also, if we want God to deliver us from that sin, regarding whomever we spoke the faults only if they plead and ask God, we will be able to be delivered from that sin.
My dear people who are meditating upon this, let us confess the sins that are in us in the way that we should and let us humble and submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
