“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Matthew 24: 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We, the bride, the church should safeguard our salvation till the end.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated regarding how we, the bride, the church should be as joint heirs of Christ and regarding how to become his heirs.
Not only that, but God also told Moses in Numbers 27: 12 – 23 Now the Lord said to Moses: “Go up into this Mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.
And when you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered.
For in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.)
Then Moses spoke to the Lord, saying:
“Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.”
And the Lord said to Moses: “Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;
set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation and inaugurate him in their sight.
And you shall give some of your authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him—all the congregation.”
So Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.
And he laid his hands on him and inaugurated him, just as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.
According to the above-mentioned words he said Go up into this Mount Abarim and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel. And when you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered. That is, the children of Israel in the matter regarding the water in Meribah they did not believe and because they contended God is telling Moses in this manner. That is, those who were supposed to make holiness transgressed the law of the Lord.
This thing happened at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin. The reason for this is that if we do not get water what we must do is that in our heart if we make God holy then in our soul the spring of living water will open. But Moses spoke to the Lord, saying: “Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.”
And the Lord said to Moses: “Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him; set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation and inaugurate him in their sight. And you shall give some of your authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him—all the congregation.” In the same manner, Moses according to the law of the Lord commanded him.
My dear people, God is telling Moses you shall give some of your authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient and we see that Moses is doing like that. Also the thing that we must think is that what the Lord is showing as a pattern using the Israelites is that God itself has given a witness regarding Moses. Still, in the matter regarding the water of Meribah because he did not have faith, he is telling him to see the land that he is going to give the children of Israel. He is telling him that you will see the land but you will not enter it. Not only that, but he is also telling him to give some of his authority to Joshua.
My dear people, we must listen to the words of God, obey them and if we do not believe God will give the talent that he has given us to others and he gives them authority. In this manner, God is using Moses as a pattern and showing us. In this manner, according to the law of God he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation and he laid his hands on him and inaugurated him and commanded him just as the Lord commanded.
Therefore, my dear people we must safeguard ourselves so that we must never neglect the words of God and let us submit ourselves so that we are as those who have received the grace of God.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
