“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Hebrews 4: 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah 

For us, the bride, the church the place to rest is our Lord Jesus Christ.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that if we, the bride, the church want to inherit Canaan, the heavenly land we must cross Jordan and we see that God is showing us this as a pattern. That is, the heavenly land means our Lord Jesus Christ. If we go to him, we will get rest and we meditated regarding this.

Next, what we are meditating is that Joshua 1: 14 – 18 Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But you shall pass before your brethren armed, all your mighty men of valor, and help them, 

until the Lord has given your brethren rest, as He gave you, and they also have taken possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’s servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise.”

So they answered Joshua, saying, “All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. 

Just as we heeded Moses in all things, so we will heed you. Only the Lord your God be with you, as He was with Moses. 

Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death. Only be strong and of good courage.”

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, the reason our soul is not attaining rest is that in our soul sin has increased and fleshly deeds and when it is filled with the drowsiness of the pleasures of the world, we will not have rest and the reason for that is due to the deeds of the Gentiles of our soul, it will make us become troubled. Therefore our Lord Jesus Christ, as one who overcomes this, fights in our midst and destroys the deeds of the Gentiles and delivers us from the Gentiles and makes us to rest. 

Regarding this, Revelation 19: 11 – 21 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 

His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 

He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 

And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 

And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, 

that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.”

And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 

Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

All the above-mentioned verses, show how God delivers us from the Gentiles and he manifests as the One who overcomes everything. This is the pattern regarding crossing Jordan. Not only is our Lord Christ doing in this manner but so that brothers like us also attain such kind of rest so they will also possess the land which we will possess he is saying that you must help them.

That is, the salvation, that is the possession of Christ which we have received so that our brothers also receive it we must tell the gospel of Christ to them also and we must make them also possess it. We must do this, and we must possess what Christ told us to possess. Doing such kind of things is only the will of God. So when Joshua told them this, they said that all that you command us we will do. Also, just as we heeded Moses, so we will heed you. And they said that only the Lord your God be with you, as He was with Moses.

Therefore, my dear people we must not rebel against God in any manner but we must heed the words that he has commanded and be strengthened and to be courageous let us all submit ourselves to God. It is written that the soul of those who rebel against his words will be killed.

Therefore let us submit ourselves that we will obey the laws of the Lord.
