“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

John 17: 24

Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We must carefully safeguard the ministry that God has given us, the bride, the church so that it is not taken away from us.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should destroy the wicked deeds that are in us away from us through Christ.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 16: 10 – 14 Now King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria and saw an altar that was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the design of the altar and its pattern, according to all its workmanship.

Then Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus. So Urijah the priest made it before King Ahaz came back from Damascus. And when the king came back from Damascus, the king saw the altar; and the king approached the altar and made offerings on it.

So he burned his burnt offering and his grain offering; and he poured his drink offering and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings on the altar.

He also brought the bronze altar which was before the Lord, from the front of the temple—from between the new altar and the house of the Lord—and put it on the north side of the new altar.

In the above-mentioned verses, King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria and saw an altar that was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the design of the altar and its pattern, according to all its workmanship. Then King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, is written in 2 Kings 16: 15 and according to that according to what the king commanded Urijah the priest did. Then the things that King Ahaz did in 2 Kings 16: 17 – 20 And King Ahaz cut off the panels of the carts and removed the lavers from them; and he took down the Sea from the bronze oxen that were under it and put it on a pavement of stones.

Also he removed the Sabbath pavilion which they had built in the temple, and he removed the king’s outer entrance from the house of the Lord, on account of the king of Assyria.

Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

So Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. Then Hezekiah his son reigned in his place.

According to the above-mentioned words, due to the King of Assyria he was removed from the temple of the Lord. Also, the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? So Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. Then Hezekiah his son reigned in his place.

My dear people, in the above-mentioned portion when king Ahaz told Urijah, the priest that he wanted to build an altar like the one in Damascus before he came from there Urijah, the priest after he had built an altar for all the sacrifices, and he poured all his sacrifices. But he is changing the place where the bronze altar was kept in the temple. Not only that but he also cut off the panels of the carts and removed the lavers from them; and he took down the Sea from the bronze oxen that were under it and put it on a pavement of stones. Also he removed the Sabbath pavilion which they had built in the temple, and he removed the king’s outer entrance from the house of the Lord, on account of the king of Assyria. God is showing this as a pattern that when we are as the temple of God filled with his glory the Assyrian will always be with the intention to remove from us the righteousness of God and foundation of justice that we are putting on. Also, he will deceive us so that the twelve types of ministries are not fulfilled within us, which are led by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.  Also, he will not allow God to enter us so that there is no rest within us, and he will scatter our thoughts. In this manner, let us submit ourselves so that our life is not destroyed so that pleasures, decorations of the world, enjoyments should not come in our life and so that sin should not increase we must safeguard ourselves with fear, reverence and holiness according to the word of the Lord and so that within us the glory of the temple is not destroyed and so that within us the ministry of Christ is not taken away and so that everyday we are not deceived by any wicked enemy carefully let us live within Christ.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
