“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 111: 5, 6 He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
He has declared to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
Repent today and you will be saved
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the past days we meditated regarding the ways how God led, the generation of Jacob which is the tribe of Israel, for the sake of eternal salvation. Also Israel dies in Egypt. Jacob lived in Egypt for seventeen years. When he knew that the days drew near that he must die, Jacob told his son Joseph, who was the governor of Egypt, Please do not bury me in Egypt
Genesis 47: 30 but let me lie with my fathers; you shall carry me out of Egypt and bury me in their burial place.” And he said, “I will do as you have said.”
In the life of Israel, God blessed him so much. But in the last days of his life, he is in the bondage of Egypt. Because God was with Israel, He made him to get mercy in the eyes of Pharaoh, Joseph took care of his father and brothers a lot. Therefore, Pharaoh agreed for them to stay in Goshen, as they desired. That land of Goshen was a place which was very prosperous and also it was a good pasture to feed their sheeps and cattle of the herds and it was an ideal good land for cultivation. Therefore, God brought Jacob and his sons, who were the father's of the eleven tribes from Canaan to Egypt and gave them that land as a pattern, to feed the sheeps and cattle of the herds and God showed them the land as a land for cultivation. The reason for this is that their body, soul and spirit which is under the bondage of Egypt, should be cultivated with food, which is God's words and for God to do his work and God is doing things for Israelites to multiply there.
Therefore, God is fulfilling the promise that he told Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The redemption of Israel, occurs in Egypt through the lamb that was slain and in order to show that God redeems and saves them as a pattern, God brings Israel, the church to Egypt and Israel (Jacob) dies in Egypt, and before he died he was able to see Joseph, whom he thought he will not be able to see and in those days asking Joseph that he wanted to be buried only in Canaan and Joseph agreeing to it and then Israel bowed himself on the head of the bed. In this manner, we come to know that God is redeeming and saving Jacob.
Isaiah 41: 8 “But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend.
Therefore, Isaiah 41: 9, 10 You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away:
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, when we read the previous God's verse, God is calling and choosing us and is looking at us and telling is that Fear not, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
In this manner, he is looking at Israel and saying Jacob, whom I have chosen.
But here, though he calls Jacob by name, he is not able to survive and multiply because the famine of food comes. Due to this, he becomes the slave of Egypt. The reason for this is as he had fleshly deeds in him, he was made a slave and God delivers from him from there, through Joseph and in the last minute only he is being strengthened.
In the same way, loving people of God, many of us, are leading their lives with the world, flesh and lusts and we also want to walk along with God and we also want to possess God's blessings but in their lives, the important times they stain their lives along with the world and when all their responsibilities (worldly ones) are over , they think that now we can follow God's commandments and make their life vain. In those days, he supported Jacob in the last minute, though he spoke to him, though he took the wrong decisions in many things, he delivers him from his distresses and saves him. The reason for that is in the time of the first covenant, the blood of the young calves and goats was sprinkled on the book and on the people, there was no renewal of the inner man.
But in Hebrews 9: 22, 23 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
For this, as a special sacrifice, for us Christ was sacrificed. Because Christ has become a sacrifice for us, he will not save us as we think, when we get a day according to our desire. He is not the one who will wait for all our responsibilities to get over and give us salvation before we die.
Because many people will say, that Jesus Christ saved the thief who was standing in the right side before he died. My dear people, do not spoil your life like that. Because Our Lord Jesus Christ looked at the thief and when did he say that today you will be with Me in Paradise: He said this before he died for the sinners but he has already died and shed his blood for us. When that blood is there for us always, if you come after you finish all your comfort and pleasures, do not think wrongly that he will save you and take you with him.
That is why, in James 1: 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
But Jacob strengthens himself in the last minute.
Later, it came to pass after these things that Joseph was told, “Indeed your father is sick”; and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim and goes to his father.
and Israel strengthened himself and sat up on the bed.
Genesis 48: 3, 4 Then Jacob said to Joseph: “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me,
and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession
In this manner, Jacob tells Joseph regarding the promise that God gave him.
My dear people in Christ, after we read the Bible verses, we should not leave it and each one of us should analyze ourselves, and forget all the worldly comforts and pleasures in our life and leave all of that and repent to God today itself. Then you will be saved.
May the Lord accept and bless all your prayers. Let us pray.
