“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 45: 6

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should be of one mind regarding the things of the Lord.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that each one of us, the bride, the church should be as those who hear the voice of God speaking to us.

Next what we are meditating upon is that in 2 Chronicles 1: 7 – 12 On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?”

And Solomon said to God: “You have shown great mercy to David my father and have made me king in his place.

Now, O Lord God, let Your promise to David my father be established, for You have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—

wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

In the above-mentioned verses, after Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings to the Lord then God appeared to Solomon, and in that vision, he asked him, what shall I give you and he asked the Lord wisdom and knowledge so the Lord said that because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king— wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like. So Solomon came to Jerusalem from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the tabernacle of meeting, and reigned over Israel.

My dear people, the fact regarding the above-mentioned verses is written for a pattern. That is, each one of us should receive Christ, the wisdom and from it we should receive discernment and for this the Lord is using Solomon and showing us as a pattern. But Solomon after he offered sacrifices to the Lord in his presence then only, he is seeing God in a vision. In that vision, God to analyse the heart of Solomon he is telling him to ask what he desires. But Solomon did not ask anything for himself or his family and because he asked for wisdom and knowledge to lead the people of God so the Lord said that he will not only give the heavenly blessings which is wisdom and discernment but also worldly blessings like riches, wealth and honour. But many among us do not seek the things pertaining to the kingdom of God and because we are asking the things for our own wellbeing the souls of many people are stuck to the dust. But they do not realize that their soul is being destroyed and after they get the worldly blessings because they think that the Lord has done good for us so one by one in each thing we fall down. But we do not know where we are falling, and the Lord will close our eyes little by little. This thing when we will know is that in our last day only, we will know. Regarding this, Proverbs 5: 12 – 14 And say: “How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised correction!

I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me!

I was on the verge of total ruin, in the midst of the assembly and congregation.”

After that no one can deliver us. Like this in the life of Solomon God is giving him the riches, wealth and honour which he did not ask and is testing him. In this manner, when he tested him he is leaving the laws of the Lord and going. Therefore the Lord is removing him from the throne. But our Lord Jesus Christ was led up God by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. He is tested three times. This three testing are the testing regarding leading the church (people) of God. The third temptation when Satan is telling to leave the kingdom of God and showing the kingdom of the world and telling to worship him, Jesus said away with you Satan and is chasing him. Then he said in Matthew 4: 10 Then Jesus said to him, Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’

As soon as he said this word the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. But like Solomon when the worldly riches comes because we are leaving the laws of the Lord, Christ is showing us an example and also coming and living within us for us to overcome the world in our temptation he is showing us this. We should keep this in mind and everyday if we will live carefully in the things of the Lord then in our soul the Lord will give us the life of Christ and will give us the grace to live in his throne forever and will safeguard us alive. In this manner, let us submit ourselves to live forever with Christ.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
