“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 89: 50, 51 Remember, Lord, the reproach of Your servants How I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the many peoples,

With which Your enemies have reproached, O Lord, With which they have reproached the footsteps of Your anointed.

May there be praise to God forever. Amen Amen.

Hallelujah

If you are persecuted you are blessed

(Persecution of the Israelites)

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days we meditated certain things regarding Who are the Egyptians? Who are the Israelites? How God delivers Israel, the church from Egypt (mainly regarding how God delivers and saves our soul in us) and how God redeems Israel and takes them through Moses with Christ as a pattern.

As the second sign, God tells Moses – Put your hand in your bosom. And he took his hand out, behold, his hand was leprous, like snow. And He said, “Put your hand in your bosom again.” So he put his hand and drew it out and behold, it was restored like his other flesh.

My dear people when we say bosom it signifies Christ. John 1: 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. If our hand is filled with righteousness and justice, the Son will be glorified in us. If our hand is filled with unrighteousness, God is showing us that we will be an abomination to Christ. Therefore, the hand was leprous, like snow which God is showing as our life (abomination). This is the deed of the devil. Therefore, my dear people we must leave all the unrighteous deeds of the world and we must be the children who taste the heavenly gift.

Also, if we do not leave the unrighteous things God will pour his severe anger upon us.

That is why in Psalms 79: 6 Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know You, And on the kingdoms that do not call on Your name.

We know that God pours his anger upon those who do not worship God truthfully.

Also, 1 Peter 4: 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

My dear people, we must realize that if anyone persecutes us or blasphemies us because we are worshipping Christ we are blessed. However much we may be persecuted or disregarded or blasphemed we must not be troubled or upset because of it but we must be happy and rejoice greatly. Those who are persecuted for the sake of Christ’s name are blessed because we are not the ones who are persecuted or blasphemed but the Spirit of glory who is living within us.

1 Peter 4: 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.

My dear people, that is why in Psalms 79: 12, 13 And return to our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom Their reproach with which they have reproached You, O Lord.

So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.

If we are persecuted, we are blessed. God’s church, people of God will proclaim the name of God from generation to generation.

When we meditate on the word of God, we see that Philistines persecute the army of Israel.

1 Samuel 17: 10 And the Philistine said, “I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.”

In this manner, a war between the Philistines and Israelites was nearing. 1 Samuel 17: 43 So the Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

1 Samuel 17: 45 – 47 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

1 Samuel 17: 48 So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.

So, David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David.

Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

The reason why God told Moses to put his hand in the bosom is that if our hand and bosom is filled with righteousness we will bear persecution. If we bear the persecution which comes due to Christ, praise will be manifested from generation to generation. But if we are filled with unrighteousness (filled with the persecution because of our persecution) our soul will be destroyed. But the throne of David, which is Christ is being manifested from generation to generation from ancestors to ancestors. There is no doubt that Israel, the church will be manifested in such a manner. Let us live with a witness. May Christ shine in us and our generations forever.

Let us pray.

May the Lord bless us all.
