“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Colossians 3: 9, 10 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hallelujah

The Changes in the Tongue – Good Tongues – Bad Tongues

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days we saw regarding how every one of our mouths should be. If we will be a good mouth God will judge us as righteous. If we will be a bad mouth God will judge us as guilty.

Also, today we are going to meditate about the tongue. We see that the tongue cannot be tamed, is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. That is why, God is touching the tongues of those who wait on him, on each and everyone.  God gives a new tongue to everyone. Let us submit our tongue in God’s presence right now.

How we must submit is that, in Psalms 39: 1 I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, While the wicked are before me.” If the wicked is there in our soul our tongue will speak bad things. That is why, in Psalms 139: 19, 20 Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.

For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain.

What this portion of the Psalms is showing is that in the souls of the people there are the crowd of wicked which are our enemy which include many scornful, deeds of the immoral woman who speaks flattering words, crowd of people who decorate, crowds with many bad traditions and habits filled with bad deeds which are the crowds of the big Satan. Only if God dwells within us and destroys all these things our life can be in fellowship with God. These are all blood thirsty men. That is the Psalmist is singing Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.

Only if such deeds depart from us the words that begin from our tongue will be sweet words which are according to God. That is why, in Psalms 139: 4, 5 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

You have hedged me behind and before And laid Your hand upon me.

God is placing his hand upon us and is creating us as new. In such a creation, God is giving us a tongue to praise God.

Psalms 139: 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvellous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

My dear people, marvellous works signifies our inner man’s tongue; New tongue, it is the tongue of Christ, Holy tongue; the tongue that talks to God; the tongue that interacts with him. When the day of Pentecost came in the room where everyone around one hundred and twenty people were gathered the Holy Spirit descended.

Acts 2: 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance

All those who heard this were amazed and marvelled. This is what God is making us as a marvellous miracle. Now, we who are reading this in order to receive such a good tongue let us submit ourselves in God’s presence.

My dear people, in the above portion we are reading about two beginnings of the tongue. Firstly, what we must know is that when we say good tongues God creates us as a new creation and gives us a new image in our soul and creates our tongue as a new one. These tongues will cleanse us completely and make us holy. These people will be blessed by God.

Next what we see are the Bad tongues. Before we change into a new creation, the tongue that we have is the old tongue (Tongue of sin). All the characters of that tongue must change and only if we become a new tongue, new good tongue we can become holy. In these days all those God’s children who are reading and meditating on this should analyse themselves to see if any of these bad tongues are in us and should put off all the kinds of old tongues from us and should receive the new tongue from God by supplication and prayer. God will remove all the deeds of the old tongue and give us the new tongue and will surely bless us. All of you will be blessed.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless us all.
