Redemption from the bondage of Egypt – with a pattern

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days we meditated that the Israel church is being troubled and beaten by the Egyptians and God is submitting them to great tribulations and God is hardening the heart of Pharaoh and though he sent his servants Moses and Aaron to Egypt and though they told the words that God told them, they did not listen to those words, they pressurized the Israelites a lot for the reason that they had to let them go to hold a feast in the wilderness they pressurized them a lot. We see that God is explaining and showing all these things as a pattern beforehand regarding the deeds which are within our soul.

Therefore, my dear people if we want to enter Christ’s kingdom we must be redeemed from the midst of great tribulation and only then we can live with him. We all must know this well.

Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh that we want to go for three days journey into the wilderness to hold a feast to our Lord God.

This is because the wilderness that God had told the Israelites to come to hold a feast required three days journey. But Israel, the church walked for forty years. We come to know that the place that they should have seen in three days, they walked for forty years around the lands of various gentiles. In these forty years, they murmured greatly against God and in their lives, they had to cross three major temptations. First was the Red Sea, then the River of Jordan and the Wall of Jericho. We must think one thing. God told Israel, the church in Exodus 3: 12 So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

My dear people, this mountain means, the journey is for only three days, that is a place of wilderness but the reason the Israelites walked is because those who accepted their own land, which is Christ in their lives God is watching from heaven regarding how they bear the tribulations, difficulties, poverty, problems, tears and all these things which come and how much they are submitting their lives to God. God is judging them with his righteousness and is enabling them to come and reach that place. God is using the Israelites to show us as a pattern regarding how we must bear all the problems, difficulties, tortures and poverty that come to us and in all these situations how we must offer praise to God and we must possess that mountain. That mountain is Christ. Three days are sufficient to possess that kingdom. But our path is narrow, and the way is sorrowful. The reason is the many deeds of the Gentiles that is in our soul. But God can change them one by one and make that kingdom (Christ’s) as his own. How he changes them one by one is by the word that proceeds from the mouth of God. When we accept his commandments, laws and statues he removes the deeds of the Gentiles through God’s spirit and cleanses our soul.

How our God cleanses us is that in Revelation 11: 15  Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven(those who have submitted themselves completely), saying, “The kingdoms of this world (our world which is the soul) have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

In order that such things do not happen in our soul and to destroy the evil deeds that stop this from happening God is showing as a pattern from the Old Testament in Exodus 6: 1 – 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”

And God spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the Lord.

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name Lord I was not known to them.

I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were strangers.

And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant. Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

Exodus 6: 7 I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the Lord.’”

But when Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage.

When the Lord spoke to Moses again, saying, “Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the children of Israel go out of his land.” Moses spoke before the Lord, saying, “The children of Israel have not heeded me. How then shall Pharaoh heed me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”

Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them a command to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

My dear people, God redeeming the Israelites signifies that our soul should receive the redemption of forgiveness of our sin and should put on Christ and for this he is showing the Old Testament as a pattern. But Pharaoh did not allow the people to go. Even though he heard God’s word many times his heart becomes hardened. That is when God sends his word, which is Christ within us, the soul of Pharaoh, which is us, because it is occupied by the enemy with sinful customs and traditions of the world, traditional lives, our soul will hinder it from being saved and will give us much sorrow. Therefore, we will be like the Israelites by not obeying God’s word and due to anguish and the problems that come against us, we will betray God.

But we should not be like that my dear people, if a lot of pressures are coming in our life, we must think that God loves us and is correcting us and is choosing us to show us a new path. If we will fall at his feet, God will save us each day and his lead us in his way.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
