“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 108: 6 That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
The Scepter of Righteousness which changes the traditional life
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days God sent Moses and Aaron to Egypt and in order to redeem his people that is Israel, the church when he sent them to Pharaoh we see that he said that you will come back and hold a feast to me in this mountain. When we say this mountain we see that God is talking about Christ. But when Moses told Pharaoh the first time that the people had to be sent to hold a feast, we come to know that with anger Pharaoh gave much sorrow to the people and they were beaten. God hardened the heart of Pharaoh. The explanation regarding the hardening of heart we saw in the past day.
Again, God remembered the covenant that he told the forefathers and again he tells Moses and Aaron to go to Pharaoh and Moses tells God that I am of uncircumcised lips and he says the Israelites have not heeded me how then shall Pharaoh heed me.
Exodus 7: 1 – 3 So the Lord said to Moses: “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.
You shall speak all that I command you. And Aaron your brother shall tell Pharaoh to send the children of Israel out of his land.
And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.
But Pharaoh will not heed you, so that I may lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
My dear people, God is doing these things to punish Egypt with great judgements and to show his powers and for all people, both the Egyptians and the Israelites to see and fear him.
And Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’ ”
So, Moses and Aaron did so. But Pharaoh called the wise men and the sorcerers; so, the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the Lord had said.
Exodus 7: 14 So the Lord said to Moses: “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to let the people go.
My dear people, in the portion of the Bible that we have been meditating on we are able to understand that God’s word, which is the rod is immensely powerful. Wherever, in whatever way we may have to fight against the enemy in that manner it stands against our enemies and will fight. God is explaining and showing this to the Egyptians and the Israelites.
That is why, in Psalms 23: 4 – 6 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
That is, We must surely understand that God’s word which is this rod (Christ) is very powerful and he is seated in the right hand of the Father and he fights with the enemies and redeems our soul (Israel) and fills us with mercy and makes dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
That is why, in Psalms 110: 1 – 3 The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
In this manner, Christ reigns in us and removes our enemies which are the armies of Pharaoh and mostly the deeds of the Gentiles and makes us to be born as the dew of the youth.
This is because if our heart is as Egypt, in the ground which is Egypt when God’s word goes forth in the midst of those who do not accept the word it will perform the deeds of the serpent. But if we accept it (the word) with joy and believe and if we bow down and humble ourselves before God and if we will worship God, the word which has come into our heart will swallow the deeds of the serpent which were born in us. Not only that wise men means mediums, soothsaying, also seeing divination, rebelling against God, enchantment (sorcery) as written in the word of God. Those who do such things their heart has the deeds of the dragon (deeds of iniquity). This is what God is doing in Egypt and showing us. Still Pharaoh did not allow the people to make a feast.
We must think one thing, many people despite seeing many deeds of God, if they hear God’s word, they still do not leave their traditional life. This traditional life should be destroyed from us and God should manifest in us. For this God shows such deeds as a pattern and enables us through his grace to receive the redemption of our soul.
Hebrews 1: 8, 9 But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
To change our traditional life Hebrews 1: 11, 12 They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment.
Like a cloak You will fold them up, and they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.”
My dear people, the deliverance of Egypt means our sinful traditional life, when we accept the words of God, Christ will reign in us and the enemy, which is the tradition will be folded like a cloak and Christ will be the same forever and his years will not fail and he will abide in us forever. That is what is written as you have the dew of your youth. Dear children of God who are reading this, our soul should be delivered from the traditional bondage of Pharaoh and for all the traditions to be folded and removed, let us submit ourselves in the hand of God and let us receive the kingdom of Christ which does not change forever as a possession. Let us humble ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
