Protecting Ourselves from being deceived

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days in order to redeem and take the Israelites from Egypt we see that God sends the second plague, which are frogs in the river of Egypt. We also meditated upon how the frogs work among those who do not accept the truth. Many people see the miracles and get deceived. We must make sure that none of us are deceived and must safeguard our soul carefully. If we do not accept the truth honestly, 2 Thessalonians 2: 10 – 12 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Likewise, God sends the plagues to Egypt and makes the river there to be filled with frogs. In this manner, if our soul will desire unrighteousness so that we may be condemned God will send a strong delusion within us.

Also, regarding such people our Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7: 21 – 24 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

“Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

In this manner, my dear people, we must not be fooled by seeing miracles. Our house (eternal house) should be built on the rock. The foundation of it is Christ (Word of God).

Also, regarding those who do not walk according to the truthful word of God and only do miracles, what Christ says is that Luke 10: 13 – 20 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.

And he said, And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades and he told his disciples: He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

As Jesus was speaking in this manner he rejoiced in the Spirit because these things were hidden from the wise and prudent and because they were revealed to babes he is praising God. God is revealing these things to us only.

My dear people, from this what we must understand is that let us not be surprised by seeing the miracles but are our names written in heaven? Let us think regarding this and we must rejoice for our names to be written in heaven.

Also, my dear people who are reading this, our Lord Jesus Christ says Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.

Whom is such an authority given to?  His disciples. Who are his disciples? Those who abide in Jesus Christ’s words are his disciples. Those disciples are the ones who sat for the supper along with Jesus. It is written that many believers came to listen to his words. But when we see the previous part, seventy disciples are being mentioned there. Even though they were astonished by seeing the miracles, later those who abided were twelve disciples. In that, one of them due to love for money is destroyed.

Also, God is giving us also the authority to overcome the enemies. Who is the enemy? Where is he? Even though we listen to God’s words, if we do not believe our soul becomes the dragon. If our heart gets hardened again and again, the river of the devil flows in our soul. Dragon, river of the devil, frog – we must read this carefully, so that the next plague does not appear in our soul but the New Jerusalem, which is Christ should be manifested in our soul and for this let us listen to the words of God, accept them, walk according to the truth and let us overcome these plagues, which are our enemies through the word of God.

Let us safeguard ourselves so that our soul does not fail due to the plagues of Egypt. That is why, in Psalms 91: 13 – 15 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him.

My dear people in Christ, if we will meditate well on the truth of God and obey the voice of God, God will surely set us on high. Let us submit ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
