“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 66: 8 Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

The Activities of the seventh plague – The plagues of Egypt

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days we see that God decides to destroy the Egyptians completely and he sends plagues to Egypt. This is because, we must remove all the wicked deeds, which are the deeds of Egypt from our whole soul which are a hindrance for us to worship God in spirit and for us to worship God with our whole soul, whole heart and whole mind God is showing this as a pattern by sending plagues to Egypt. We also meditated regarding how he is destroying it in the early morning.

Also, God is telling that I will send all My plagues to your very heart, and on your servants and on your people.

Exodus 9: 15 Now if I had stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth.

But indeed, for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.

God is telling Moses to tell Pharaoh in this manner.

My dear people if God wanted Pharaoh would have sent the Israelites immediately. But the reason why God is hardening the heart of Pharaoh is for God’s name to be exalted all over the earth and to destroy Pharaoh completely so that he will not be in the land. Therefore, God is hardening Pharaoh’s heart.

Even after sending the sixth plague that is the boils still Pharaoh did not allow the people to go for worship

Exodus 9: 18, 19 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause very heavy hail to rain down, such as has not been in Egypt since its founding until now.

Therefore send now and gather your livestock and all that you have in the field, for the hail shall come down on every man and every animal which is found in the field and is not brought home; and they shall die.”’”

He who feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his livestock flee to the houses.

But he who did not regard the word of the Lord left his servants and his livestock in the field.

God is telling that he will send the plague, hail to Egypt. That hail will not fall on those who obey the word of God. That hail will fall on those who do not obey God. This plague is the seventh plague. God is showing this as a pattern that he is sending this plague into the soul of man. This is because it is only in the soul God’s power will be manifested. He is doing this so that all the people of the earth will know that God is more powerful than all. Many Egyptians obeyed the word of God. Those who obeyed received their reward. Those who did not obey lost that reward.

When the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, Moses stretched out his rod which was in his hand toward heaven; and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire darted to the ground. And the Lord rained hail on the land of Egypt.

Exodus 9: 24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, so very heavy that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

In this manner, hail, thunder, fire – with this the hail destroyed both man and beast and everything that was outside. The fire darted to the ground quickly. Darted to the ground means that because our soul is without life and is clinging to the dust of the ground, God is sending the judgement of fire and God is showing this as a pattern.

Also, man, beast and those outside means those who have not come into salvation. The hail destroyed all of them. It struck every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field. This means that the souls who are not gathered in the church of Christ, God is breaking them.

That is why, in Psalms 20: 7 – 9 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.

Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call

You must be thinking how hail and thunder occur in the soul of man. How this occurs is that – this is a plague. When this plague comes rolling, we will be crushed under it.

Isaiah 28: 19 – 21 As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report.”

For the bed is too short to stretch out on, And the covering so narrow that one cannot wrap himself in it.

For the Lord will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be angry as in the Valley of Gibeon— That He may do His work, His awesome work, and bring to pass His act, His unusual act.

This plague, which is God’s fierce anger keeps coming to our soul everyday like a burning fire as some things and messages of tribulations with a pain that we cannot bear continuously day and night. Then we are unable to sleep. This is what God is showing as hail, thunder and fire on the ground. In this manner, it came in the soul of Pharaoh and upon those who did not obey God’s word. We must cleanse our soul so that these do not come. We will meditate on this further tomorrow.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all.
