“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
1 Peter 1: 3, 4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
The Establishment of Passover
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days we saw that our God said that I will go out into the midst of Egypt; then in Egypt from the firstborn of Pharaoh and all the firstborn of everyone and all the firstborn of the animals shall die. We meditated in the past days regarding why God is doing all these things. For the firstborn, who is Christ to come into our soul, God in this manner, in the soul which was Egypt, destroyed all the firstborns and all the things that we had kept in the first place in our heart by sending God’s only begotten Son. Through these things God is showing us the way to walk in the midst of Egypt as a pattern.
Then God in Exodus 12: 1 – 3 Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
“This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: ‘On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household.
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.
Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.
And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it.
Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
You shall let none of it remain until morning, and what remains of it until morning you shall burn with fire.
Exodus 12: 11 And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So, you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.
My dear people, we must think how pleasant the salvation of our soul is. Now we have been able to get the blessing that the sons of Israel did not get in the portion of the Old Testament. The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world is being beaten. This is shown to us by God as a pattern, through the people of Israel as a lamb without blemish. Our God predestined that through the blood of Jesus Christ he has a new covenant with us, and our God showed this as a pattern. That lamb must be without any blemish. It should be killed at twilight and God is showing us that with the blood of that lamb God has put his seal on us so that the angel of destruction will not touch us and our soul will be safeguarded.
Also, on the day that we have been cleansed, after we have taken the covenant of baptism with him on that night God tells us that we must eat it with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs (Blood of Jesus).
But God is showing us clearly that it should only be eaten as a church and after eating we must not leave anything remaining.
Also, in Exodus 12: 11 And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So, you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.
This Feast of Passover is when our Lord Jesus Christ, as a lamb that is beaten for us, gives us his flesh and blood for us to eat and is the Lord’s Supper. Therefore, we must understand its truth and eat it only in the night. But such people should be people who pray.
Those who are eating this, should tie truth which is the belt, in the waist, gospel should be worn in the feet and they should hold the word of Christ.
In this manner, the unleavened bread is the body of Christ, bitter herbs is the blood of Christ and before eating this we must wash each other’s feet and only then should we eat this as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown us as an example. That is, we can read that he washed the feet of his disciples. In John 13: 14 he said If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. In this manner, this is the beginning of the salvation of our soul. That is what, God says this is the Lord’s Passover.
This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. This is the day that we are born. But many people say that the day we are born in this world as a sinful generation is our birthday and celebrate it in a worldly manner. Therefore, God’s word says friendship with the world is enmity with God. God is talking mainly about the salvation of our soul. On the night that we were saved
Exodus 12: 12 – 14 ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
‘So, this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.
My dear people, God is showing this as a pattern regarding the things that he is doing by entering our soul, the house. After we have been saved, God will come into our soul, which was Egypt. Then if our soul is a new creation, God will not send the plagues of Egypt within us.
Therefore, my dear people, in this day if we do not want plagues, pestilence to touch us our soul should be redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Shall we all submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
