Traditional celebrations should be destroyed 

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days we see that God is showing us clearly that we should not remember the day that we were born in the flesh and that the day we were born in the Spirit (the day we were saved) is our birthday. But many people, who are the children of Christ; are walking according to the flesh. They are those without the spirit of Christ.

Romans 8: 6 – 9 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 

So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Also, the word of God says that we should celebrate the remembrance of his holy name. But when we should remember is that we must remember God as long as we live and continuously praise him. This is only the celebration. But like the others who are not saved, if we please man and if we have traditional habits in us, we are in the clay.

Regarding such people, 2 Peter 2: 20 – 22 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 

For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness (after being saved), than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 

But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

My dear people, after our soul has been rescued, delivered and saved from the bondage of Egypt (sin, traditions); if each one of us follow the traditions of the people, worldly desires and worship and such kind of things which God does not please in, we fall into the clay again.

Also, in Galatians 6: 12 – 14 As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. 

For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. 

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

We are boasting in the cross means because the world which was in our soul has been crucified on the cross, we have received deliverance and therefore we are saved.

Therefore, our God is sending plagues in our soul to destroy our fleshly deeds.

Also, many people are showing Christ as the reason and are giving place to evil deeds in our soul like birthday of Christ, death day, day of resurrection, New Year’s Day, and such things. These are the deeds of our iniquity. Nothing is written in the Bible about the birthday of Christ. In the same way, the day of resurrection, day of death when none of this is written in the Bible, how can we assign one day for this? When it is only written that Christ was born, he grew, he died and he resurrected how can we assign one day?

Those who assigned days like this are men. If we walk according to the imaginations of man, we are far away from God. They celebrate the first day of the year in a special way.

The Bible says that the reason Christ came to the world, which is our soul was to destroy such traditional (old) life and to make him as the firstborn in everything. In the same way, every day, month, year is Christ.

We must worship God every day and serve God.

Isaiah 43: 11 – 13 I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no saviour.

I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the Lord, “that I am God.

Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?”

My dear people, when we meditate upon the word of God we see that we must not walk against God’s commandments, according to the customs of the world, we must not celebrate like how the people of the world celebrate. Everyday we must think about our salvation and rejoice, be happy, praise God and be as those who worship God. But those who are celebrating feasts like the people of the world he lays siege against them with a mound. Therefore, we must safeguard ourselves so that he does not lay siege against us.
