“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Revelation 7: 17 For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
If we accept Christ – Water does not decrease – will have a sweet life
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we see how God revealed to John in the island of Patmos regarding how we, the redeemed (from the bondage of Egypt) will worship the Father God and the Lamb.
Also, we see that the Israelites who were delivered from Egypt praised God and sang
Exodus 15: 22 – 24 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.
Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore, the name of it was called Marah.
And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
We must think about the word of God well. Israel, the church began their journey from the Red sea and went out into the Wilderness of Shur, and they were without water for three days. Then they came to Marah. The water of Marah was bitter. It could not be drunk. Then they complained against Moses and said what shall we drink.
In the journey of Israel, the church they were not able to find water. God is showing this as a pattern to the living water. This place is the Wilderness of Shur.
But in Exodus 15: 25 So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,
and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”
When they did not get water, they came to Marah. The water there was bitter. Moses is crying out to the Lord. Then the Lord is showing him a tree. That tree is only the tree of life which is Christ. As soon as they cast that tree in the water, it became sweet. From this what we must know is that once Christ comes into our life, our life will become sweet.
Many people will say that if we accept God, there will be only bitterness till the end of life. But we must think one thing, Christ came into this world to change this bitter life. If we have sin, curse, transgression, iniquity, disobedience such kind of deeds in us we have bitterness only.
Jeremiah 9: 13 – 16 And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it,
but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them,”
therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them.”
Matthew 27: 33, 34 And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull,
they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.
My dear people, in order to change the bitterness that is in our life, Christ suffered for us. He beaten on the cross of Calvary to atone for our sin, curse and iniquity. Then, on the way there he tasted the sour wine mingled with gall and he did not want to drink it. Therefore, our Lord Jesus Christ is not the one to give us the experience of Marah. He tasted it but did not drink it.
My dear people, if our life is bitter and if we accept our Lord Jesus Christ as our own saviour in our soul, the God who changed the bitterness of Marah will also make our life sweet. Let us learn to obey his words and walk accordingly.
That is why, Moses cast that tree into the waters; the water became sweet. God made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them.
In the same way, he tests us to see if we are walking according to his word and changes our life sweet. The person who changes it to sweet is Christ (word of God).
We must walk in the right manner before his sight. He says that if we keep all his commandments and statutes, none of the diseases of the Egyptians will come upon us.
If we will follow him there will not be a famine where there is no water. This is because the spring of the eternal living word of God begins from Him. Also, to the Samaritan woman he tells that whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. It is not bitter, it will be a sweet spring.
Revelation 7: 13 – 17 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore, they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
In this manner, those who have overcome the world, which is the tribulation have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. When their inner man grows, the outer man will be destroyed. Then our outer garments and decorations will be destroyed. When holiness is manifested in the inner man, the outer man will wear white garments.
In this manner, God’s word explains clearly to us that we must wear white garments day and night and serve God. We must search holiness in this manner. Then our tongue will not thirst, we will not be without finding water. God will be filling us with his living water. We will also be made holy by God’s living water. Let us all become holy.
Let us pray.
May the Lord bless you all.
