“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 111: 4 He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

God who is merciful to Israel

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, because Saul did not obey God, God is taking away his kingdom. Also, God is sending a distressing spirit upon Saul. We will meditate about these things in the coming days. Also, Saul did not do the thing that God told Samuel to do through Saul, but Samuel is doing and completing it.

But the Lord saves His anointed; the significance of this is being made known to us.

After Israel, the church overcame the Amalekites in Rephidim, they reached the Wilderness of Sinai from there and camped there in the wilderness. Israel camped there before the mountain. But Moses went up to God. God was in Mount Sinai.  And the Lord called Moses from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

Exodus 19: 4, 5 ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.

And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

So, Moses called for the elders of the people, and when he told them what the Lord commanded, all the Israelites answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” So, Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord.

Exodus 19: 9 – 11 And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever.”

So, Moses told the words of the people to the Lord.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow and let them wash their clothes.

And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

My dear people, the reason why God told to destroy the Amalekites first best thing, second best thing and all the important things is because if such things are there in our soul we will not be able to come to Mount Sinai. God is showing Mount Sinai as a pattern to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Only after the Israelites overcame the Amalekites, they departed from Rephidim and they reached the Wilderness of Mount Sinai and they camped there. But only Moses climbed the mountain.

Our God delivers us from sin and just like how he bears us and brings us on eagle’s wings daily he did not yield us to Egypt and God is bearing us and bringing us and is telling us that if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me. He is telling that that each one of us are his treasures. That is, he is telling that we must keep his covenant. That covenant God is making this covenant from the time of Noah itself. That is, our Lord Jesus Christ as a Lamb that was slain our garments must be washed by his blood and here, he is showing as a pattern clearly.

Exodus 19: 14 – 16 So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.

And he said to the people, “Be ready for the third day; do not come near your wives.”

Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.

Exodus 19: 17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

The thing that happened in Mount Sinai is being shown as a pattern to Christ. God is using Moses and telling us that everyone should come and reach under Christ as those who have washed their garments and that he will revive our soul and on the third day he will resurrect and is showing us this as a pattern and if we will keep that covenant we will be his special treasure. Those who are in this manner, God is telling that they will be as priests, as kings and as a holy nation.

That is why, 1 Peter 2: 9, 10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;

who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

My dear people, if God has mercy on us, the God who arose in Mount Sinai, gave his Son in the world to us and is showing mercy to us. There is no end to his mercy. We must wait to receive this mercy. Let us submit ourselves and pray.

May the Lord bless you all.
