The Appearances of the Garment – as a pattern
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past day, we meditated a little bit regarding how we must shine in grace. That is, the lampstand should always be burning. For this lampstand to always keep burning, pure oil of pressed olives should always be in our hands. That is, pure oil of pressed olives, as those who have been anointed by our Lord Jesus Christ and as those who always obey all his words, commandments, laws and always we must be as those who do not leave it but follow it in our lives.
My dear people, in the portion of the Old Testament when we read it God has called some people as priests, some people as Levites, some people as workers of the tabernacle and some other people to do other works. But our Lord Jesus Christ is being shown as a pattern of the veil that was hung in the dwelling place. Also, we read that the veil was there in the temple of Jerusalem. This veil, when our Lord Jesus Christ came up his spirit for us on the cross torn in two from top to bottom. Since that day, our priest and high priest is our Lord Jesus Christ. His body was torn, and God is clearly showing us as a pattern that he is entering the Most Holy place. After that, he resurrected and was seen by many and was again taken up to heaven. Later, on the day of Pentecost he descended upon all those who were waiting. Now, all of us, that is, those who have died to sin along with Him, buried and if our soul has been revived through the spirit of Christ and if we have received the eternal redemption, he makes all of us as kings and priests.
In the past day (portion of the Old Testament) just how he is showing us as a pattern that the garment of the priests should be holy much more than that we must not leave the holy commandments and live in holiness. This is because our garment is our Lord Jesus Christ. We must all have the inner fear that we have put on our Lord Jesus Christ.
To show as a pattern, Exodus 28: 2 And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.
So, you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom to make this garment. In this manner, God is saying that wisdom is Christ, those who are filled with the spirit of God will be gifted artisans. Only they can make this garment.
My dear people, shall we analyze and know regarding ourselves once?
And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash.
God is telling that they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest.
My dear people, not us but our soul in us which has received grace is revived (life of Christ) and is doing the ministry. That is why, God is telling Moses that they shall make holy garments (Christ) for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest. This garment is love, joy, peace, long suffering and the decoration of these should be there.
Exodus 28: 6 and they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, artistically worked.
Exodus 28: 7, 8 It shall have two shoulder straps joined at its two edges, and so it shall be joined together.
And the intricately woven band of the ephod, which is on it, shall be of the same workmanship, made of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen.
Wearing an ephod means those who are High priests will put it over their two shoulders and joined at its two edges and it will be joined together.
That is, it shows that the High priest and the heart of Lord God are as one mind.
That woven band of the ephod is shown as a pattern to our Lord Jesus Christ. On this ephod you shall put two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel:
On that the names of the sons of Israel, six names on one stone and six names on the other stone are engraved.
My dear people, in the Old Testament the reason for such signs to be engraved in the garments of the high priests is because God is explaining clearly as a pattern that it will be there in the midst of those wearing the garment of New Jerusalem. But in these days, he makes us kings and priests and upon us all the New Jerusalem, which is the The Holy Spirit, who is the bride will be glorified in all of us. Let us all submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
