“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Luke 12: 32 Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

The Kingdom of God in our soul

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that spiritual worship should take place in each one of our souls. In the time when only the law was present, in the ministry that God worked through Moses, when it became late for Moses to come down from Mount Sinai, we are able to read that the people of Israel were doing a dead worship. This type of worship without life is idol worship. The people of Israel, because they did not have patience in their mind, this is happening. Our God is telling that we must wait patiently and possess the promise that we have received. Hebrews 10: 35 – 39 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

“For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry.

Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”

But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

When we meditate on this word of God, we must think one thing within us, that is, we must think of the former days. That is, when we were met by God and we bore the tribulations which came because of great temptations. We were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and we were companions for them. But Apostle Paul to the Hebrew church is writing God’s word in Hebrews 10: 34  for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.

When we meditate upon this verse, when Paul was bound in chains the people of the church of Hebrews had compassion and they gave their goods. If we are met by God, we must wait with great patience and we must not leave the confidence according to our strength and we must possess our promise. But the people of Israel lost their patience. Therefore, they did things pertaining to death. In this manner, the Israelites did things that were not applicable and backslid and went away. God is saying that the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.

My dear people, the Israelites backsliding and walking is Exodus 32: 1 – 10 Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”

And Aaron said to them, “Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.”

So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron.

And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

So, when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord.”

Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

And the Lord said to Moses, “Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves.

They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’ ”

And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!

Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”

In the above-mentioned verses, because Moses was late to come; the people because they asked Aaron to make gods that shall go before them,  Aaron told the people to break off the golden earrings which are in your ears, and bring them to me. So, all the people broke off the golden earrings and brought them to Aaron. And Aaron received them from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!” So, when Aaron saw it, he made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord.”

Then early on the next day they offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

And the Lord said to Moses, Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves.  They are stiff necked people. Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.

And they were two tablets of Testimony in Moses’s hand. Exodus 32: 15 – 20 And Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablets of the Testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.

Now the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God engraved on the tablets.

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is a noise of war in the camp.”

But he said: “It is not the noise of the shout of victory, nor the noise of the cry of defeat, but the sound of singing I hear.”

So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing. So, Moses’ anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.

Then he took the calf which they had made, burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder; and he scattered it on the water and made the children of Israel drink it.

God, who knew everything beforehand that it will happen like this; it was the writing of God engraved by his fingers. Moses broke the tablets that were engraved by the hand of God. The writing that was engraved on it is Christ. The pattern of this is that the heart of stone is broken, and it shows that through Christ he is changing it into a heart of flesh. This is because the people of Israel made idols and served them. Today even many among us lose our patience and go in the wrong path and not knowing what path they are walking on and become people to experience God’s anger. Therefore, to show us the good path, as we meditated in the past days, he delivered us from hell, death and these things and to save us, the Holy Spirit, which is the kingdom of God manifests in our soul and he is proving and showing that flesh and blood cannot possess the kingdom of God. Therefore, let us all wait patiently and receive the kingdom of God. Let us submit ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly
