“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
1 Corinthians 3: 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We are God’s temple
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days we saw that idol worship is enmity against God and that God created man and man cannot make God but man is making idols with mud, with silver, with gold and with wood and saying that they are God and bringing and keeping them in the temples and they are doing great sin.
In this manner because they are making the soul that is within them corrupt, God becomes angry with them and is making them ashamed also those who make such idols and worship them are not serving the true God but serving the devil. Regarding them, God is telling in Isaiah 44: 24 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who makes all things, who stretches out the heavens all alone, who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;
He is saying that I am the Lord who makes all things. Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, and drives diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolishness; God does not dwell in temples made by stone, mud and made by human hands.
Acts 17: 23 – 30 for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:
God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.
And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,
When we meditate on the above-mentioned verses, we read that, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: Our Lord God does not dwell in temples made with hands. And we come to know that nor is He worshiped with men’s hands. Also, He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth and has determined their boundaries of their dwellings. That boundary of their dwelling is our Lord Jesus Christ.
That is, Matthew 24: 1, 2 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.
And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Also, when they asked “Tell us, when will these things be? We see that Jesus Christ is saying few things. That is, when we read Matthew 24: 4 – 31 its spiritual meaning is that the Son of Man is appearing in our soul. From this, what we understand is that Jesus Christ is telling the disciples regarding the temple that days will come when not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down. The significance of what he said is that he is raising the temple in his body and is saying that as a sign for that. When we meditate regarding this, when the temple of God was filled with defiled things, he beat everything with a whip of cords, and we see that he drove everything out.
John 2: 17 – 22 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”
So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?”
Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”
But He was speaking of the temple of His body.
Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
When we read the significance of this, Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up, when we meditate upon this because there were many defiled things filled in the temple that was made by hands, God built the temple of God by his Spirit and in order to raise it up he raised up Christ from the dead and he is fulfilling his will. In this manner, he who has raised Christ from the dead, is raising his temple by his power. Also, he is raising us also along with him and is making us sit along with him in the heavenly places. Ephesians 2: 6 – 8 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
In this manner, we, who were far away in Christ Jesus by the blood of Christ he made us near.
My dear people, in this manner he made all the people, who are the human tribe to appear from one blood and is making us manifest as his temple.
My dear people who are reading this, till this time if anyone of you are thinking that God is there in idols and are surprised with the beauty of the big buildings built with stone and mud and have been thinking that God is there in them, then leave all such thoughts and know that God means his word, that word is Christ. As Son of Man when he appears in our soul is that when you meditate on the verses in Matthew 24: 4 – 31 with spiritual meaning you will understand the Son of Man appearing in our soul. Then we will die to sin and our soul should raise up with Christ. Then in our life we will get a new image. That image is Christ. He is that temple, we are that temple. Let us all consecrate ourselves as God’s temple.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly
