“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Romans 14: 15 Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

Grain offering signifies harvest of the soul – as a pattern

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated regarding when we offer sacrifice to God what should we offer, how should we offer and all these things. Also, the burnt offering is an offering of sweet aroma to the Lord and we meditated this through the verses. Today what we are going to meditate is offering grain offering to the Lord. The food that God eats he is telling regarding the harvest of our soul. That is, our Lord Jesus Christ is explaining and telling food in John 4: 31 – 38 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”

But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”

Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’

I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”

When we meditate upon these verses our Lord Jesus Christ is saying  My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work and we read that he is saying regarding the Father. Our Father God is the one who has submitted us into the hands of his Son. If we will offer a glorious sacrifice to God we have to offer it through the Son only. This is because what the Son asks for the Father gives. Also, the one who prays for us is Christ only. Also, he is the one who forgives our mistakes and he intercedes for us. He is also the one who corrects us. How much ever words of Christ we may hear if we do not get corrected the one who judges us is also Christ. In the Old Testament God is showing as a pattern that all of us cannot go directly to the Father.

Also, when we say food it is the harvest of our soul. The harvest of our soul means our Lord Jesus Christ separates us from our soul, which is the world and brings us to his threshing floor, which is near Christ  and cleanses all our deeds well and checks how much chaff (the world, which is sin and iniquity) is there in our soul with the winnowing fan which is in his hands and cleanses it well with it and burns up the chaff with unquenchable fire and gathers the wheat in the barn. When these things are happening is that when the things that we meditated upon in the past days after we have confessed our sin, traditional characters to God in God’s presence, and as an equal to our soul being buried along with Christ after we have taken baptism by immersion we will have a judgement in the above-mentioned manner.

That is what in Matthew 3: 11, 12 it is written as unquenchable fire. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

That is, in our life if chaff (the world, which is traditional sinful life) is more in our life pain will never end. Therefore, in our life the second offering is the grain offering. Grain offering means it is a pattern of offering our soul to God. Leviticus 2: 1 – 3 When anyone offers a grain offering to the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour. And he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it.

He shall bring it to Aaron’s sons, the priests, one of whom shall take from it his handful of fine flour and oil with all the frankincense. And the priest shall burn it as a memorial on the altar, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.

The rest of the grain offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’. It is most holy of the offerings to the Lord made by fire.

Our soul after it has received baptism attains Christ’s life and should be as anointed by God and for that this offering is written as fine flour and poured oil and put frankincense on it. This is being shown as a pattern that Christ from our soul is interceding. A soul which is anointed in this manner if it offers glory to God it shows Christ glorifying God. This is very holy.

Next, Leviticus 2: 4 – 11 And if you bring as an offering a grain offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

But if your offering is a grain offering baked in a pan, it shall be of fine flour, unleavened, mixed with oil.

You shall break it in pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.

‘If your offering is a grain offering baked in a covered pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

You shall bring the grain offering that is made of these things to the Lord. And when it is presented to the priest, he shall bring it to the altar.

Then the priest shall take from the grain offering a memorial portion, and burn it on the altar. It is an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.

And what is left of the grain offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’. It is most holy of the offerings to the Lord made by fire.

‘No grain offering which you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey in any offering to the Lord made by fire.

When we meditate upon these, those who have accepted Christ as their Saviour it is being shown as a pattern regarding how they should prepare their soul with the words of Christ and his power. When we think about these things any of our old traditional life should not be there and for that nothing should be made with leaven flour and that is a pattern.  Also, it should be made with fine flour which means we must be filled with Christ’s love.

The above-mentioned verses show the preparation of our soul. In this manner we must be with our soul completely prepared. The remaining portion we will see tomorrow. Let us submit ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly
