When we submit the first fruits, which is the grain offering to God, the deeds that God does
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, the purpose for God to show as a pattern regarding us offering grain offering to God in the portion of the Old Testament is that through Jesus Christ our soul is made holy and then is harvested and only the good deeds, which are the good fruit is gathered in God’s barn and then later God is maturing us for God and then we enter into the kingdom of God and these things God explained and showed us with a pattern and we meditated regarding this.
Regarding the harvest of the soul, which is the grain offering Leviticus 2: 13 – 16 And every offering of your grain offering you shall season with salt; you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.
‘If you offer a grain offering of your firstfruits to the Lord, you shall offer for the grain offering of your firstfruits green heads of grain roasted on the fire, grain beaten from full heads.
And you shall put oil on it, and lay frankincense on it. It is a grain offering.
Then the priest shall burn the memorial portion: part of its beaten grain and part of its oil, with all the frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the Lord.
In the above-mentioned verses when we meditate upon what is written, the grain offering should be seasoned with salt. Salt means the word of God, who is Christ. Through the word of God, who is Christ our soul should be offered for God’s work. If we have offered ourselves for God’s work, we must be as those who have left all our traditional life. Salt should not be lacking in the grain offering and salt is the salt of the covenant and it is written that with all your offerings you shall offer salt. That is, salt is God’s word, who is Christ should be very important in our spiritual life.
Also, through Christ only we are taking a covenant with God. Therefore, in our whole life Christ only is our first fruit. So, our soul should be as Christ and that is God’s will.
That is what in Matthew 5: 2 – 13 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, we see that Christ is telling salt regarding us. As an example, salt in our food how much taste we desire it gives that. Regarding that, God is telling about being poor in spirit. If we are poor in spirit, then all the next things will be there. Hunger and thirst after righteousness, merciful, pure in heart, peacemakers, persecuted for righteousness’ sake all these things are signs of the kingdom of God. He is comparing it to flavoured salt.
When we look at the characteristics of salt, its colour shows holiness. Also, as soon as it touches water it gets dissolved. What that shows is that water means people. It is a sign of Christ who sacrificed himself for the people. Also, salt gives taste for our food. That is, for the joy of our soul, the deeds of Christ, who is the word of God should be there.
That is why, through a pattern God is saying that the grain offering should be seasoned with salt. If the salt loses its flavour it cannot be seasoned with anything. It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. In the same way, we must die along with Christ, and our soul must be revived with his word of God and with his Spirit and if we do not put on the new image there is no use, like the salt without flavour we will be outside in the presence of God. That is, before we put salt in a food, that food will be just bland. But after we have put sufficient amount in the food, its character itself will be changed. Then, all those who come to eat will like it.
In the same way in our life if we will give importance to the word of God, who is Christ and in everything if we will put him in front many people will be surprised. Those who see us will also accept Christ. Then we will get great reward in heaven.
In this manner, by our testimony we should bring many people into Christ and regarding us offering our soul to God Leviticus 2: 14 -16 ‘If you offer a grain offering of your firstfruits to the Lord, you shall offer for the grain offering of your firstfruits green heads of grain roasted on the fire, grain beaten from full heads.
And you shall put oil on it, and lay frankincense on it. It is a grain offering.
Then the priest shall burn the memorial portion: part of its beaten grain and part of its oil, with all the frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the Lord.
The explanation of these verses is that our soul by Christ along with other souls those who will repent offering ourselves as the first fruit in the presence of God, is the grain offering of first fruits.
In this manner the souls those who will repent by the word of God we should remove and throw all the evil things which they followed traditionally which are in their soul, then for them to be anointed we must pray for them and we must offer them to God.
In this manner only every bride, the church should grow. In this manner, let us submit ourselves so that all of us will be blessed.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly
